About me
I first started fishing at the age of 5 and my first fish was the bullhead or millers thumb as it’s commonly known which was caught from the river Dane.
As my angling progressed over the years I entered matches and fished for several clubs, also doing sea fishing from both shore and boat.
I have fly fished for several years and finally moved onto the specimen hunter’s scene about 15 years ago, but have always carried on with my short session general course angling throughout, using feeder and waggler.
I have been coaching for the last 9 years, and some of the events I have done include the Carp Society, Yorkshire Carp Study Group Junior Event, and organised the North West Junior Fish-In.
I am currently head marshal for the British Young Carpers Angling Championships which is run by Angling Publications and CarpTalk.
